SCHOOL CLAIMS SERVICE, LLC

The Casualty Claims Division of School Claims Service, LLC handles property casualty claims and professional liability claims.

The property casualty claims area investigates, evaluates and settles claims under the school district's "package policy". Those types of claims include covered damages to real and personal property (buildings and contents) and damages to school owned vehicles.  It also includes liability claims involving bodily injury and property damage to others.

The professional liability claims area investigates, evaluates and settle claims under the School Board Legal Liability policy; however, of a somewhat different nature than property casualty.  For instance, they handle claims involving special education and a variety of other administrative type actions. In addition, they administer employment practice liability claims which could involve violation of civil rights, discrimination and wrongful terminations.
